"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my [Jesus] words will not pass away" (Matthew 24:35). Aside from the context of the passage, Jesus affirms a reality that all people should recognize - He is someone to listen to. There is a "forever aspect" to the spoken truth that is given by Jesus. The fact is - truth is truth is truth. It is meant to last. Jesus words are meant to last. Yet, the corporeal nature of the physical will deminish and depart. Don't worship the things of this earth.
